OUR STORY
We are a small, family owned and operated
business. Our oldest daughter, Aimee, is the Youth
Pastor of our Church, Jubilee Christian Fellowship in
East Liverpool, Ohio. She was in need of a fund
raiser for her teens, so I suggested we sell crafts
that her, I, and the Youth Group make. From there
we began making and selling crafts for mission trips
and other events for our Church. My son-in-law,
Patrick, decided we needed to open our own shop.
So, with his help we opened D'vine Creations in
2003 in a small building in Wellsville, Ohio just
around the corner from my home.

Aimee and I made all of our items, Patrick laid new
carpet, we all painted walls and cleaned, Patrick's
Mom (Brenda) and friends from Church donated
items to be used, as well as their time. My Mom
and Step-dad would fill their car with items for us
to craft with and make the drive from Latrobe, PA
on weekends. Then there is the shelf that my
husband (Kevin) took all day one day to make just
before he left for Kosovo.

We stayed there on Main Street in Wellsville for a
year and then, while Kevin was in Iraq, we moved
into this wonderful old circa 1800 barn that Aimee
found for sale. Again our family and friends pulled
together and D'vine Creations re-opened here in the
barn along  Route 39 in Wellsville in November 2005.

I home-school our two younger kids, Kodie, 16 and
Michael 13, and with Kevin on another tour of duty
in Iraq, living in the barn while using part of it for
the shop was a perfect idea.

Aimee and I still make all of our items, Everything
is hand-sewn/made and painted. Patrick and Kevin
help with large wooden items we want to make or
help in re-constructing an old piece of furniture into
one of our ideas. Kodie and Mikie help when
customers come into the shop and even the
Grand-kids, Hannah, 7, Levi, 5, and Gabs 2, who
are also home-schooled, get in on the act in one
way or another. My Mom and Step-dad, Brenda,
and friends from Church still donate items they
think we can use.

The move here has also made it possible for us to
purchase the remaining property and renovate the
rental property for Aimee, Patrick and the
grand-kids. We moved into the new house behind
the barn and have plans to turn the barn into a
bed and breakfast/lodge
with crafts, antiques and so much more! Right now
we have expanded to crafts and unique/vintage and
antique items on the first floor while the rest is
"under construction".

So, when the Lord opened the doors for D'vine
Creations to become more than a dream, He also
opened the doors for us to become a family owned
and operated business in more than just one way!
